Nature and Extent of Law Practice:
24 years of trial litigation practice, trials, hearings, appeals. Represented both plaintiffs and defendants in all aspects of litigation from inception of lawsuit, through appeal and oral argument in state and federal courts:
1994-1995: Law clerk, Arkansas Municipal League. Assisted in defense of 42 U.S.C. Section 1983 litigation, drafted pleadings, attended hearings, trial, etc.
1995-1997: Attorney, Barber, McCaskill, Jones & Hale, P.A. Varied insurance defense (95%) litigation practice defending individuals and corporations on tort, employment, subrogation and workers compensation claims. Represented clients in mediation and/or at federal settlement conferences.
1997-2009: Attorney, Harrill & Sutter, P.A. Varied plaintiff (95%) trial litigation practice representing individuals and corporations on tort and employment (heavy emphasis) claims. Represented clients in mediation and/or federal settlement conferences.
2009-current: Attorney, solo litigation practice, representing plaintiffs and defendants on tort and employment related claims. Represent clients in mediation and/or federal settlement conferences, and offer mediation services.
Mediation Experience
Mediation of a wide spectrum of cases, including but not limited to, matters involving: premises liability, personal injury, employment law (Title VII, ADEA, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, etc.), construction disputes, nursing home litigation, slip and falls, business/partnership dissolution, toxic torts, product liability, medical and dental malpractice, fraud, single-action, multi-party, and class-action litigation, and various other type cases.
