James ("Jimmy") D. Lawson
Jimmy Lawson currently owns his own practice, James D. Lawson, P.C., located in Lakeland (Shelby County), Tennessee since March, 2013 to present. His practice emphasizes construction law, construction litigation, insurance defense and issues of insurance coverage. Prior to obtaining his license to practice law in Tennessee, he was an associate (1986-1994) and a partner (1994-2008) at Hilburn, Calhoon, Harper, Pruniski & Calhoun, Ltd., in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He then was associated with the Law Offices of William M. Jeter, PLLC, in Memphis, Tennessee (July, 2008-February, 2013). Over his twenty-seven (27) year career as an attorney, he has handled a wide variety of civil cases, representing plaintiffs and defendants, in state and federal courts in Arkansas and Tennessee. He resides in Lakeland, Tennessee, is currently licensed and practices law in Arkansas and Tennessee, and is certified as a general civil mediator in both states as well.
