About Bud

PROFESSIONAL Background:

Bud Cummins brings a wealth of experience and a unique background to mediate cases across a wide range of subjects. Bud Cummins has an interesting professional background. He started his career as an oil and gas landman and then moved on to become a commercial construction project manager. Later, he pursued law and has been licensed to practice in Arkansas since 1989, and in the District of Columbia since 2021.

Cummins is a former United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas. He has served as Chief Legal Counsel to the Governor and accepted temporary contracts on different occasions with private companies. He also spent five years employed by an investment firm to help start a technology hedge fund. In addition, he has served six times as a Special Justice on the Arkansas Supreme Court. Cummins has served as a subject matter expert to discuss various legal matters dozens of times on national radio and television stations, including every major television network.

During his time as a lawyer, Cummins has mediated various disputes related to construction claims, probate affairs, and other matters that arise in civil litigation. In 2023, he fulfilled the certification requirements of the Arkansas Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission to become a Certified Mediator for the Arkansas Circuit Courts Civil and Probate Divisions, the Arkansas Court of Appeals, and the Arkansas Supreme Court.
