David L. Rush
David has practiced law for thirty-eight years, served as the District Judge for Logan County, and maintains law offices in Paris and Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He has extensive experience in various areas of law, including personal injury, civil and criminal litigation, and domestic relations cases.
Timeline of Experience
After completing his Juris Doctorate in December 1981, Mr. Rush opened the door to his law career in Ft. Smith, Arkansas in February of 1982. He subsequently joined Bill Walters and practiced in Greenwood, Arkansas under the firm name, Walters and Rush until 1986 when he returned to practice law in his hometown of Paris, Arkansas. He joined the Hixson, Cleveland, and Rush Law Firm which was eventually changed to Rush & Rush.
Mr. Rush currently maintains law offices in Paris and Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Over the years he has been involved in almost all areas of the practice of law, primarily focusing on personal injury, civil and criminal litigation as well as domestic relations cases.
Mr. Rush developed an interest in becoming a mediator while representing many of his clients in the mediation process. He is a certified mediator by the Arkansas Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission handling civil and domestic relation cases. In February of 2019, Mr. Rush changed his main focus and is now fully committed to the area of mediation dispute resolution.

Personal & Military History:
David Leding Rush was born July 16, 1952, in Paris, Arkansas. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree ‘74 and a Juris Doctorate Degree ‘81 from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He has been married to his wife, Chandra, for forty-four years and has two children; Tyson Leding Rush and Chelsea Rush Thompson.
Immediately after receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1974, Mr. Rush joined the Navy and served as a Naval Officer traveling throughout the country and across the world during his active duty and reserve service. He retired with the rank of Commander in 2004.
